THERE WAS A BIRD WHO WAS FLYING SOUTH FOR THE WINTER WHEN SUDDENLY HE FLEW THROUGH A COLD CURRENT AND HIS WINGS FROZE UP. HE FELL TO THE GROUND AND LANDED IN AN OPEN FIELD WHERE COWS WERE GRAZING. THE BIRD JUST KNEW HE WAS AT HIS WITS END WHEN SUDDENLY A COW PASSED BY AND DROPPED SOME DUNG ON HIM AS HE LAY IN THE FIELD FROZEN. AT FIRST HE THOUGHT, " WITH ALL THAT'S HAPPENED TO ME, AND NOW THIS." THEN HE SUDDENLY REALIZED THAT THE DUNG WAS NICE AND WARM AND IT WAS BEGINNING TO THAW HIM OUT!…

A TURKEY WAS CHATTING WITH A BULL. "I WOULD LOVE TO GET TO THE TOP OF THAT TREE", SIGHED THE TURKEY, "BUT I HAVEN'T GOT THE ENERGY." WELL, WHY DON'T YOU NIBBLE ON SOME OF MY DROPPINGS?" REPLIED THE BULL. "THEY'RE PACKED WITH NUTRIENTS." THE TURKEY PECKED AT THE LUMP OF DUNG, AND FOUND IT ACTUALLY GAVE HIM ENOUGH STRENGTH TO REACH THE LOWEST BRANCH OF THE TREE.
